• Course: TDD for Embedded C
  • Date entered: 2018-01-11 21:27:42 UTC
  • Course rating: Very Good
  • Most useful learnings: The discipline it takes to only test one thing at a time. It goes against my nature of wanting to get straight to the final solution. However, I think it will result in more robust, reliable code.
  • Concepts v exercises: Good balance
  • Presentation v discussion: Good balance
  • Course improvements: I would have liked to spend more time going through the details of the legacy code workshop.
  • Exercise rating: Very Good
  • Exercise improvements:
  • Instructor comments: James provided a lot of experience from his history doing development. It was apparent that he does not only 'teach' but is also writing actual code.
  • Better prepared: Bring it on!
  • Start tomorrow: Yes, we have been able to instrument our existing code inside the test framework
  • Challenges to applying: Fighting against the push to have features ASAP
  • Other comments: No
  • Legacy code workshop: Yes
  • Recommend to others: Yes
