• Course: TDD for Embedded C
  • Date entered: 2018-01-23 01:52:47 UTC
  • Course rating: Excellent
  • Most useful learnings: Both the compelling philosophy of TDD and practice coding actual examples.
  • Concepts v exercises: Good balance
  • Presentation v discussion: Good balance
  • Course improvements: Hardcopy of the notes would have been helpful, especially as we worked on the exercises.
  • Exercise rating: Good
  • Exercise improvements: Please make the coding/output window size adjustable. Was frustrating working in such a small window.
  • Instructor comments: Excellent! Presentation was clear, and did a good job responding to our concerns with realistic approaches to apply TDD.
  • Better prepared: Much better
  • Start tomorrow: Not yet. Bulk of my area is written in an internal HP language (not C or C++), so need to work out how to apply the concepts.
  • Challenges to applying: A very large amount of legacy code with large numbers of dependencies. ANd the proprietary language mentioned above.
  • Other comments: Two days seems about right.
  • Legacy code workshop: Yes
  • Recommend to others: Yes
  • Quote permission: No
