• Course: TDD for C++
  • Date entered: 2019-08-22 22:32:10 UTC
  • Course rating: Good
  • Most useful learnings: Workflow for using TDD for developing production code. Learned that the TDD process is actually easier than traditional methods.
  • Concepts v exercises: Good balance
  • Presentation v discussion: Too much presentation
  • Course improvements: More exercises would be helpful.
  • Exercise rating: Very Good
  • Exercise improvements: Starting point for some exercises were not clear. Comment-based guidance was helpful but an even more structure tutorial approach would be helpful.
  • Instructor comments: The presentation could be streamlined which would provide more time for exercises. Some key points were well presented (ie ZOMBIE, SOLID, etc), but there were many digressions that detracted from the learning experience.
  • Better prepared: Much better
  • Start tomorrow: Yes, I feel like I have a good grasp of the advantages and ideal application of TDD.
  • Challenges to applying: Refactoring and adding tests to existing code.
  • Other comments:
  • Legacy code workshop: Yes
  • Recommend to others: Only if improved
  • Quote permission: Yes
