• Course: TDD for Embedded C
  • Date entered: 2021-07-16 18:36:24 UTC
  • Course rating: Good
  • Most useful learnings: Fake it till you make it!! Don't jump in to coding everything that you know you will need eventually at once. Go slow and methodically. Test Doubles.
  • Concepts v exercises: Good balance
  • Presentation v discussion: Too much discussion
  • Course improvements: The course I took was listed as 4 hrs course daily for 4 hrs. All 3 days we went over by at least one hour. Plus we had substantial homework afterwards. I think this course requires at least 5 FULL days. Corporate employees obviously have other responsibilities and if they block only 4 hours then its hard to go over an hour and also do the Homework. Most corporate classes I took, the expectation was that all the work will be done in the class. Because I only blocked 4 hrs I did not get a chance to complete exercises and get deep in to the context. Leaving up the videos and exercises for a couple of weeks is a great idea for those of us who want to catch up
  • Exercise rating: Excellent
  • Exercise improvements: Have enough time to actually complete them.
  • Instructor comments: Very good
  • Better prepared: Much better
  • Start tomorrow: No. As I said I need some more time to catch up to the concepts and get a deeper understanding so that I can apply them in every day work.
  • Challenges to applying: Getting others on board
  • Other comments:
  • Legacy code workshop: Yes
  • Recommend to others: Yes
  • Quote permission: Yes
