• Course: TDD for Embedded C
  • Date entered: 2021-11-06 17:09:18 UTC
  • Course rating: Excellent
  • Most useful learnings: TDD guided by zombies; gather town tool
  • Concepts v exercises: Good balance
  • Presentation v discussion: Good balance
  • Course improvements: I was prepared to spend full days in this, as if at a physical. But I lost motivation after "class dismissed", although in one instance my pair buddy and I agreed to pair in after class for a bit. Would have liked to mingle with other attendees after hours. In physical space we might have a mixer, dine together. What might be equivalent? Organizer arrange nachos & chips sent to homes of participants? Something after formal lectures, mixer, or encourage pair study "OK to hang around with your pair buddy, go deeper into exercise, I'll pop by in a couple hours" might helped me put in the full days I'd planned.

  • Other comments: gather.town is oustanding; inspired by it, I began a "daily code kata" in it for my team
  • Legacy code workshop: No
  • Recommend to others: Yes
