• Course: TDD for Embedded C/C++
  • Date entered: 2022-01-21 17:40:32 UTC
  • Course rating: Excellent
  • Most useful learnings: Re-highlighting the need to move in small steps. I really liked the mock-ing portion of the flash device driver.
  • Concepts v exercises: Good balance
  • Presentation v discussion: Good balance
  • Course improvements: I'd prefer an in-person learning. The course was very good though.
  • Exercise rating: Excellent
  • Exercise improvements: Providing the exercises in advance might be helpful.
  • Instructor comments: Very friendly and likeable. Seemed very qualified for the part.
  • Better prepared: Much better
  • Start tomorrow: Yes, I think I could apply the learned TDD techniques to my work immediately.
  • Challenges to applying: Fighting the existing infrastructure already in-place.
  • Other comments: I wasn't absolutely crazy about the remote-ness of the class. I think it would work better in-person. This was my first experience with gather-town. It has some benefits, but there's a bit of a learning curve for those unfamiliar with social media.
  • Legacy code workshop: No
