• Course: TDD for Embedded C
  • Date entered: 2017-10-18 15:13:45 UTC
  • Course rating: Very Good
  • Most useful learnings: I heard talks about TDD in the past, but they were targeted towards new code written Java / modern C++. It was very useful to see TDD in an embedded / C context, with legacy code.
  • Concepts v exercises: Good balance
  • Presentation v discussion: Good balance
  • Course improvements: I would have liked a bit more time and details on legacy code (even though you may have a separate course on the subject)
  • Exercise rating: Very Good
  • Exercise improvements:
  • Instructor comments: Clear, good explanations, good balance between funny examples and serious answers.
  • Better prepared: Much better
  • Start tomorrow: Could start to *begin* tomorrow but, working with a very large and old legacy code base, it could take some time before I actually can write actual tests. (It could be hard to integrate a test framework into our environment)
  • Challenges to applying: Huge legacy code base: it could be hard to integrate a test framework into our environment.
  • Other comments:
  • Legacy code workshop: No
  • Recommend to others: Yes
