  • Concepts v exercises: Good balance
  • Presentation v discussion: Good balance
  • Course improvements: The web-based IDE could be improved (window resizing, debugging, search-and-replace functionality, etc).
  • Exercise rating: Excellent
  • Exercise improvements: N/A
  • Instructor comments: James is an excellent teacher. He was never stumped and always had suggestions about how we could improve our code.
  • Better prepared: Bring it on!
  • Start tomorrow: I could, but won't. Our organization is moving to Agile soon and we plan to use TDD. I'll wait until they roll out the tools and processes.
  • Challenges to applying: There are no insurmountable technical challenges but there are managerial challenges. We need management awareness that there will be more upfront costs to development since we'll be writing tests as we code.
